I have produced dozens of high-profile commissions for private individuals, corporations, government, and religious organizations. With decades of experience in modeling, production, casting and installation, I am able to provide a proposal that outlines the process and ensures clients are involved in each step. The result is generally a dramatic and absolutely original way to recognize a donor, founder, experience, historical event or brand.
How it works
We start with conceptual brainstorming together. I work on developing a sketchbook so we can decide on a visual course. Next, I model a maquettes (miniatures) so clients can see shape, posture, and form. Once the design is approved, I move to developing the clay that will be used for mold-making.
After the clay work is approved, it is sent to production. If it is a very large piece, we work with enlarging tools, then create molds, finally to the foundry for casting and finishing.
Depending on the size and complexity of the work, a piece generally takes between six and 12 months to complete.
